What is domain authorization?
Domain authorization is a process that will allow Corporate Visions to send emails to potential respondents on behalf of your organization, such as from your sales representatives or account managers.
Why should you authorize your domain for your TruVoice account?
By authorizing your domain, Corporate Visions will be better able to capture feedback from your prospects on their experience with your sales team. Having these emails come from the sales rep they have already worked with will increase response rates by 50% or more, as well as reduce the likelihood the emails get flagged as spam. Therefore, this implementation step is very important to the success of your program.
How do you authorize your domain?
Domain authorization usually requires a few minutes from someone on your IT team who has access to your organization's email settings. If you are already using any marketing automation or sales engagement tools (Market, Pardot, Outreach, Xant, etc.), you most likely have implemented domain authorization for those platforms in the past.
You will need to add two DNS records to your email domain:
- A DKIM (What is DKIM?)
- Return-Path record (What is Return-Path?)
Note: Your implementation specialist will provide these records for your IT team to enter on your end.
