Connecting and Authorizing TruSales for Hubspot

Follow these instructions to connect and authorize TruSales with your Hubspot Sales Hub

Integration User Permission Requirements

You enable the connection between your TruSales instance and HubSpot with an integration user. The integration user is a HubSpot user account that will need the following minimum access permissions (Application Authorization Scopes). 

 

  • Manage and view CRM data:
    • View contact list details (crm.lists.read)
    • View properties and other company details (crm.objects.companies.read)
    • View properties and other contact details (crm.objects.contacts.write)
    • Create, delete, or make changes to contacts (crm.objects.contacts.read)
    • View properties and other deal details (crm.objects.deals.read)
    • View details for users assigned to a CRM record (crm.objects.owners.read)
  • View custom object records:
    • View custom object details (crm.objects.custom.read
  • Access to eCommerce:
    • Access to emcommece features (e-commerce)
  • Basic Oauth functionality:
    • Basic scope required for OAuth (oauth)
  • Read one-to-one emails:
    • Access to read details of one-to-one emails sent to contacts (sales.email.read)
  • View account data:
    • View details about account users and their permissions (settings.users.read)

First TruSales Login
Follow the TruSales invitation link sent to you by your Primary Intelligence representative and click on the “HubSpot” login link to log into TruSales with a user what has the minimum required integration user permissions (see above).

Connecting TruSales to HubSpot

A new HubSpot window will open and ask you to login with your HubSpot credentials. Once logged into HubSpot, you will be prompted to choose a HubSpot account to connect to your TruSales instance. Please select the HubSpot account you intend to use as your TruSales “integration user account” and click the “Choose Account” button to proceed to the next step. NOTE: To complete this step successfully, you must select an account with the minimum required integration user permissions, as identified above, or you will receive an error message indicating the connection could not be completed.

Complete TruSales Connection
You will be presented with a HubSpot window indicating the access TruSales is requesting. Review the access requirements and select “Connect App” to proceed. You have successfully connected TruSales to your HubSpot CRM.
