Feature Overview

The Responses page offers a centralized view for analyzing feedback collected across the TruVoice platform. It is ideal for identifying trends, examining individual survey questions, and visualizing response data.

How it works

Navigation

To access the Responses page:

1. Select "INSIGHTS" from the top navigation menu.
2. Click on "Feedback" in the dropdown.
3. Choose "Responses" from the Feedback submenu.

Left Panel: Filters

The left panel, visible across all pages, displays a comprehensive list of filters representing survey questions or categories. Filters are organized by response type:

  • Single Select: Users can choose only one option.

  • Multi Select: Users can select multiple options.

  • Ranking: Items are ordered by importance or relevance.

  • Matrix: Data captured in a grid format.

  • Open End: Free-form text responses.

Selecting a filter updates the main content area, allowing users to drill down and analyze responses for specific survey questions.

Main Area: Charts

When a filter is applied, the main area displays the following sections:

  • Survey Question Details: The top section shows the question name, type, and a brief description or instructions for respondents.

  • Analysis Options:

    • Chart View: Users can add and configure charts to visualize response data for the selected question.

    • Grid View (if available): Displays raw responses in a tabular format.

  • If no chart has been configured, users will see a prompt to Add Chart to begin analyzing the data.

Types of Filters

Here is a categorized summary of filter types as seen in the images:

  • Decision & Evaluation: Recent decision, Evaluation catalyst, Decision role, Depth of evaluation, Interest level.
  • Product & Vendor Assessment: Evaluated products/vendors, Selected vendors, Solution feature performance/importance/weaknesses, Sales activity performance/importance.
  • Value & Impact: Trigger events, Desired results, Career impact, Value determination, Result attainment/success/risk.
  • Company & Support Attributes: Company attribute impact/importance/performance, Support attribute importance/performance.
  • Pricing & Business Case: Price position/perception, Pricing models, Discounts, Business case impact/performance.
  • Selection Criteria: Ranked decision criteria, Good/poor criteria performance, Primary/other selection/non-selection reasons.
  • Competitor Analysis: Strongest competitor, Competitor KPIs, Competitor win/loss reasons.
  • Experience & Opportunities: Positive/negative experience drivers, Future opportunity/advice, Interview eligibility.
  • Miscellaneous: Client tenure, Lifecycle stage, Brand awareness, Not winnable, Better partner, Missing features, Follow-up timeline, Key performance indicators.

How to Use Filters

  • Select a Filter: Click any filter in the left panel to bring up its corresponding response data.
  • Analyze Responses: Add a chart to visualize the selected question's data, or switch to grid view for detailed records.
  • Combine Filters: Use multiple filters to refine your analysis and focus on specific segments or topics.

Chart Configuration 

When you select the "Add Chart" option on the Responses page, the Chart Configuration panel appears. This panel enables you to customize how feedback data is visualized for any selected survey question or filter. You can configure chart settings, select your preferred chart type, and adjust display options to create meaningful insights from your responses.

Chart Configuration Settings

1. Chart Title & Subtitle

  • Chart Title: Toggle to add a title to your chart for easy identification.
  • Chart Subtitle: Toggle to include a subtitle that provides additional context or description.

2. Chart Type (Required)

Select the visual format for your data. Available chart types include:

  • Donut: Circular chart with segments representing response distribution.

  • Pie: Similar to a donut chart, showing proportions as slices.

  • Bar: Horizontal bars displaying response counts or percentages.

  • Column: Vertical bars to represent data values.

  • Line: Points connected by lines, ideal for analyzing trends over time.

Note: Selecting a chart type is required to proceed.

3. Secondary Breakdown

Use the Secondary Breakdown toggle to enable an additional layer of analysis, such as segmenting data by another variable.

Note: Some secondary breakdowns may result in minor data inconsistencies.

4. Include Zero Count Responses

Use the Include Zero Count Responses toggle to display answer options that have no responses.

Note: By default, only answer options with at least one response are shown.

5. Hide Disabled Answers

Use the Hide Disabled Answers toggle to remove disabled answer options from view, even if they contain data.

Note: If this toggle is not enabled, disabled options with data will still be displayed.

6. Filters

Click Launch Filters to refine the data displayed in your chart using advanced filtering options.

Actions

Save Changes: Save your chart configuration and update the visualization with the selected settings.

Close: Exit the Chart Configuration panel without saving any changes.

Upon chart configuration, "Chart" and "Grid Views" will be applied based on filters

Tips for Effective Use

  • Use the search bar in the left panel to quickly locate filters by keyword or category.
  • Pay attention to the response type (single select, multi select, open end, etc.) for optimal chart configuration.
  • Regularly add and adjust charts to uncover trends and patterns in your feedback data.
