Feature Overview

The Account Industry Integration setup enables administrators to configure which CRM fields from the Accountobject are used for industry categorization in TruSales. This flexible mapping system allows organizations to define industry fields beyond the standard CRM Industry field, supporting custom picklist and multipicklist fields that align with their business segmentation and reporting requirements.

How It Works

The interface displays a comprehensive table of available picklist and multipicklist fields from the Account object in your CRM system. Administrators can toggle which fields should be used as industry fields for categorization. The standard "Industry" field is automatically included as the default option when available.

When fields are selected and saved, TruSales synchronizes the industry data, creating industry categories based on the picklist values from the configured fields. Each industry entry includes the field label as the family name, with individual picklist values becoming industry options that can be used for filtering and analysis throughout the platform.

Use Cases

  • For Admins: Configure custom industry fields when the standard CRM Industry field doesn't provide sufficient categorization options or when organizations use custom fields for industry classification, and map complex industry hierarchies from CRM to TruSales for consistent industry analysis and reporting across different business segments and market verticals.
