Feature Overview
The Forecast Category Name Integration setup enables administrators to configure which picklist field from the Opportunity object in your CRM instance is used as the forecast category name in TruSales. This critical mapping ensures that forecast categories are properly categorized and filtered throughout the platform, supporting accurate forecasting, pipeline analysis, and performance reporting.
How It Works
The interface displays a comprehensive table of available picklist fields from the Opportunity object in your CRM system. Administrators can select one picklist field to designate as the forecast category name field using a radio button interface. The standard field is automatically included as the default option when available.
When a field is selected and saved, TruSales synchronizes the forecast category data and updates related forecast filters to ensure consistent categorization across all forecasting features.
Use Cases
- For Admins: Configure the correct forecast category field when the standard CRM field doesn't reflect organizational forecasting categories, ensuring accurate forecast analysis and reporting.
- For Forecasting Teams: Establish consistent forecast category definitions across all opportunities for reliable forecast accuracy, pipeline segmentation, and performance metrics.
